mikej Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Hi all does anyone have a good idea of what my gal is worth ,2001 2.3 ghia manual ,private plate ,brand new witter towbar and electrics,full size lockable roofbox to go with it,new ford updated crome front end and fog surrounds,grill etc and new updated rear lights recent dunlops alround,mot and 6 months tax ,full ford service hist,51000 miles all the usual toys cd multichanger in boot ,cruise control ,climate i think you get the jist oh yeh and runs like a dream ,just serviced.thanks in advancemike..........p.s very very clean in and out. teresa Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 suppose it depends what people want to pay as i was told by a garage petrols are harder to sell than diesels, but i did manage to sell mine after a few weeks of advertising it was on a 99 v plate and sold for just under 4k Quote

mumble_bee Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 mike, I've definitely seen cars similar to yours advertised for 6k, but as teresa said, the petrols are incredibly difficult to sell...I think a hardnosed approach might work better than trying to play it chummy with the potential buyer.. I've been looking for a galaxy around 6k for 1 mate (altho he wants a diesel) and a sharan for another upto 8k.. (he also wants a diesel), and alot of the time I get the 2.3 petrol's in the way.. I'm surprised teresa got that kind of money, and I have to congratulate her.. in fact I'm driving up to stoke RIGHT NOW to drop mine off at her place... whaddaya say T ? anything over 2350, is yours ?????? in my opinion mike, yours would be valued around 5k, unless you can find a buyer who REALLY cares about the condition and emphasize clearly to them that this is a WELL LOOKED AFTER CAR, and not abused like most of its brethren on the market. good luck, Quote
teresa Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 hahaha no we had it advertised for different prices couple looked liked asked how much we said we had it advertised for 3995 they said will ya take 3900 so we snatched their hands off :) but i have had it serviced for them as well and i threw in my twin screen dvd and my 50ltr fridge :) Quote

steve67car Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 (edited) was thinking of selling mine til i drove it this weekend for the first time in ages it normally sits on the drive looking pretty lolso i searched the net and the prices change so much and most 2000-02 gals even petrol go for 5.5 up to 8.5k so i know the top priced dealer ones wont sell but 5.5 to 6.5k will so look about see what others are being priced at knock10% or Edited March 6, 2007 by steve67car Quote
